Radiant Star: Overture 0.1.13 Update


These last two weeks I was taking some time away from implementing systems and did an overall balancing pass on the game to show it off at SizeCon[Micro] if you are attending be sure to drop by.

Enemy AI & Shrink Troopers

I improved the enemy AI a bit more and their behaviors should lead to a bit more engaging moments now, you can read the changes on the patch notes below. There are also Bretonian Shrink Troopers in Survival of the Biggest, these enemies will be also handling a shrink ray and can temporarily shrink you and other enemies.

Balancing Changes

One of the things I heard the most was that the game was too hard on ammo restrictions and enemy damage. So these last 2 weeks I balanced the game some more to be a little more forgiving and to accommodate the new enemy type.

Patch Notes 0.1.13

New
    Added Bretonian shrink troopers to Survival of the Biggest.
UI
    Updated Main Menu.
    Added a display for engaged enemy health and height.
Improved AI
    Updates knowledge of Player size only when in visual contact.
    Triggers awareness when attacked "stealthily".
Balancing
    Bretonian Berserk damage has been decreased.
    Bretonian Shrink trooper has low health and damage and can shrink the player down temporarily from afar.
    Wave's composition has been changed.
    Flex has been buffed to increase the player's height in 75%.
